Showing in a full cheek bit?

Now I'm obviously not a showing person - and I can't recall ever seeing a horse in a showing class in a full cheek or fulmer bit. Can you show in one?

Can see why they wouldn't be allowed in any other class where snaffles are the norm, I guess full cheeks are just perceived as bits for young unfinished horses. They're one of my favourite bits however!
 
I have done many times at local level. If commented on at all, they've asked if the horse was young. In my case though, they always were!
 
A plain ring is neater and doesn't alter the picture as much. Once out of novice classes you are expected to wear a pelham or double bridle.
 
I would just say neater without!
