My 9 year old daughter is going to do some in hand showing of our 4 year old Welsh part bred. I’m new to inhand usually we just do ridden classes.
I’m going to plait his mane but what do I need to do with his tail? Also what does my little girl need to wear she has both a tweed and blue show jacket and a certain colour jodhpurs? And just her riding hat?Any help would be greatly appreciated. Photo of pony for info thanks

As no one else has replied I would say turn the pony out the same as ridden and daughter in tweed jacket and hat with plain colour silk if wearing a crash cap. I showed my youngster in hand and plaited mane and tail and wore jodhpur boots with light colour trousers (she had black legs) shirt and tie , blue jacket and blue riding hat as that’s all I had. As your pony has white legs I would have daughter in dark coloured trousers so it shows off the pony’s legs. If it’s a local comp don’t worry too much, as long as both look clean and smart you should be fine. Good luck and enjoy

Pulled tail if you’re plaiting but I think you could get away with being a coloured native type. Tweed jacket, cream/canary/beige jods, or dark trousers.

Plait mane pull tail you can use the bridle the pony is ridden in if you don't have an in hand one, your daughter can wear the clothes she rides in preferably with short boots though, or she could change to dark trousers but at local level most just wear their riding clothes.

There is an account on Tik Tok called Ivy House Showing who show Welshes and part breds professionally, they will have all the info you need and are really helpful! So would recommend looking them up :)
