So I’ve been out showing a few times now and am really enjoying it! So probably need to have like an actual showing kit/box. What do you all have in your kits? Any must haves?
Tia!

Show shine spray, sheepskin mitt, hoof oil with brush, fly spray, sponge, baby oil, babywipes (lots of), bottle of water, some leather wipes, hoof pick, plaiting thread, hair brush and a soft dandy brush.

ETA, i chalk white bits at home the night before and only remove bandages just before going in the ring
This is my lad at a show today

A good pair of scissors. Are you plaited or native? If plaited always keep a couple of spare plaiting bands in your show jacket pocket just incase you need to do some last minute fixes.

My box has showshine, dancy/body brush, fluffy wooly brush (like the haas one) baby oil, baby gel, baby wipes, cotton sheet, rain sheet, mane comb, hoof colour (black and clear) vaseline, black body makeup and chalk makeup, spare halter, spare lead rope, disposable gloves

And a little secret of mine was to always have a mint lick thingy, then wet my left hand and rub it on the lick before going in so your hand smells amazing and the horse looks at it when standing lol
