I have a Welsh section c (13.2hh)
But sadly we have no trace of sire or dam, now I know I can show him at county level etc, but local level m&m I see a lot of people with unregistered and my friend used to show her unregistered new forest. Now I will only be doing local level little showing But I'm still stugiling how to turn him out? I'm guessing cause I don't know his breeding I'm going to have to show him as a part bred? Although he looks fully Welsh bred?
I know I need to plait him if I did show him as a part bred, would I trim the feathers etc?
Thank you for your help!

For most small unaffiliated shows you can just show him as he appears to be. So if he is quite obviously welsh show him as such. If the judge disagrees with you on eye alone they will just mark you down. But - one word of caution... I did a PC show recently where the DC went around checking passports (no bad thing - more places should do it) and then ordering everything that was not registered native to plait up. You'll be fine 99% of the time - just beware the marauding DC!

LOL that's PC for you! We show affiliated and local level M&M and we have NEVER been asked to show the passport. However, the entry form for affiliated will ask for the passport number, sire, dam etc. The judge will soon mark you down if they feel your pony is not true to type but I'd just go for it. ;-)
