Hi All,
Have no idea about showing at all, but thought it would be fun to do a bit with my girl for variety, though I have no idea what classes I could do with her - any suggestions would be great!
Apologies for the poor pic, she is better muscled now. She is 15.3, 9 years old and we can jump tiddlers if needed and she is a legend so would take to pretty much anything I think! She isn't registered as anything particular so no breed classes.
Thanks loads guys! [image]http://s941.photobucket.com/albums/ad259/glosgirl_photo/Clover/[/image]

Oh she's very pretty.
Ok so you could go in;
Best mare, Sports horse, part bred class, ridden horse.
Do you have a schedule for the show you are going to as every show offers different classes.

Thank you! Don't have a schedule as not looking at a particular show yet, just have no idea what we could do, so need some direction first! Shall take your ideas and see what comes up in local shows this summer!

Well Im sure she will do well, she's stunning, can def see the connie in her! Most classes she could go in other than full breeds etc. Good luck and have fun! X

ah, thats really kind of you! The connie def comes out in her character too, a sweetheart but with proper pony attitude!

Either you are really tall or she is little - how big is she ?

Could look at hunter pony classes - plain brow band and tweed jacket . My girl is TB/Conn she's always done well as an intermediate WH or ridden hunter even some sucess in small riding horse classes (tend to be slightly finer than the hunter) You'd need a height cert for intermediate tho 15.2 and below. At small shows they tend to split at the 14.2 mark.

You have yourself a horse then - It's hard to tell from this 1 picture.

When I have shown my Girl in over 14.2 hunter classes she hasn't done as well as with the riding horse but with yours having a bit of ID in her she might be different. any with her tacked up ? whats her jump like ? Riding club horse can be a good start with 1 little fence or the equitation. I always did the equitation as something else. otherwise I'd say Workers all the way if you can get round a course :-) good look

Sorry, yes, rubbish pic! In my previous post I meant that she acts like a pony, despite being rather oversized! This vid might give a better idea of her, please ignore my dreadful riding, we're warming up for our first dressage test!

if you can get her to jump a course then Working hunter! If not then lightweight hunter, but she is a bit short (sorry

)
If she has connie in her then you can in theory do part m+m if I am correct (although people may tell me im not!)

Or she might possibly be eligible for large riding horse classes if available (although she might be too chunky in her body for those!)

ARGH shes pretty but she needs to grow about 3 inches!!!

hehe then shed be great as a light weight hunter!
