Does anyone know what kind of bridle you would show tommy in ? Hes a Reg Welsh section A .

Going to put him into the 4 years and over inhand class at some of this years shows .

I have his plain snaffle bride with flat noseband and I also have an inhand bridle .

Which is correct for showing inhand ? Inhand bridle with lead rein or snaffe bridle with reins over his head ?

Thanks x

Ideally the in-hand bridle, although both would suffice

An inhand bridle with a newmarket coupling and a leather lead.

Or if you don't want to spend any money, use a pelham coupling to link the bit rings and use a clean plain black or brown leadrope.

As he is a section A i would say white halter if you can controll him in one, if not then as he is over the age of 4 then riding bridle with reis over the head.

I wouldn't have him in a white halter, I prefer to see mares and babies in those personally.

I showed my sec D in a riding bridle (hunter style) at Herts County and was told a in hand bridle would be preferred, so that's what i'm basing my opinion on. It looks more professional if you've a bridle designed for the job in hand

Corrrr he is a cracker though Colleen, exactly my sort!!

You don't HAVE to show him in the white halter, but it is the most common thing you'll see. But if he goes better in a bridle a judge would probably rather see him going well in a bridle than going crazy in a halter!

Good luck, he's a cutie!
