Should have really posted this here rather than in CR lol...

So yesterday we headed to our areas biggest annual local show - there is always a HUGE turnout and alot of competitors use it as a warm up for the bigger shows coming up over the next few weeks...
Now this was Mini Me's first showing show of the year solo so was just hoping for them to have a bit of fun & enjoy the atmosphere etc -

So arrived up to yard bright & early, thankfully Mini Me's pony does NOT like getting dirty, so came in spotless lol with only minor tweeks & plaiting needed so was quite a relaxed morning of prep..
Left getting Mini Me ready till the last minute as she is likely to destroy her clean clothes in a matter of minutes...

Here they are all scrubbed up and ready to go... ( pony is actually stunning, just hard to get her ears forward for photos lol )

Arrived at show ground & as expected pony classes were going to be mental!!!
28 entered in the first ridden so very big class full of well turned out ponies & riders ( many familiar faces who had stepped up from lead rein last year & who like mini me were doing first ridden for the first time )

So all had a walk & trot around together then pulled in in no order to do their individual show - Mini Me pulled it out of the bag, she rode really really nicely and had a lovely forward going trot... she gave a very dramatic salute to the judge after she had finished and then proceeded to lavish praise on the pony before walking back into line which gave the crowd alot of giggles.

As you can imaging 28 individual shows takes eh quite some time lol...

So eventually all back out for a walk & low & behold judge heads straight for Mini Me & she was pulled in first - queue unbelievable blubbing from mum & massive cheers from all of our yard that was there - you would think she had won the olympics.
While she was standing at top of the line you can hear her talking to her pony saying I really cant believe we have done it - you are such a good pony lol.

Mini Me made a point of saying well done to all those who were placed when they were lined up..

Couldnt have been prouder - there were some cracking combinations in the class & she beat many who had beaten her at lead rein last year... shows how far she has come.

To cut a long story short they then went on to place 7th out of 35 in the Style & appearance & herself & her partner in crime then went on to place 3rd out of 9 in the pairs - they were the youngest by about 6 yrs and did absoloutly superb ..

Fantastic day - my fav pics below.
