Help, just been volunteered to steward (RHorse, RHunter and RCob) and it's 10+ years since I last did it - and have to say, am usually too busy staying on to notice the steward's attire when I've been competing!
Decent size show, so can't afford to be a numptie. I am reliably informed I have a perfect voice for the job...
Given it's likely to be damp, muddy, cold and windy, what's correct dress?!

Smart shirt/wait coat/smart country style over jacket or a smart Barber/ trousers (mole skin/cords or similar type, they do some nice peruna ones in M&S) and decent footwear depending on the ground like paddock boots for example etc and a hat (although not a must), Toggie do some county ( just don't outsmart the judge, you need know the difference between the judge and the steward, however the judge maybe in his/her riding attire.

Thanks for that, sounds spot on.
Am now panicking, don't think I possess anything LIKE that! (I'm strictly work suit, riding kit, jeans!) Do they pay clothing allowances do you think?! If my silly mare had been sound, I'd be riding in that same ring...
