Right as I’m riding along right now it’s painfully apparent that my old faithful stirrup leathers are battered beyond repair and are completely different lengths. Now normal I just pick up short ones (admittedly i bought these 10 years ago) however I’m going go a few parties this year with ride judges and I’m sure they may not all be complete midgets like me 😬 is there sort of a best length to buy? I’m happy to just pop my own two holes in further up if needed (not that I’m actually unusually short 5”3 but I’m on a 18 hand barrel so legs are spending more time going out then down 😳😬)

I can measure mine on Friday. Busy tomorrow so wouldn’t guarantee remembering. Never had a problem going long enough but remember once struggled to get short enough. I’m about 5’5” but think I must ride quite long as seem to put them up more often than down but there are one or two very tall ride judges.

54" is a fairly standard adult GP/jump length, a bit longer for dressage, 56"-60" would cover most. If you have short legs for your height 54" might be a little long, depending on how long you ride. 48" is a classic older child/teen length, apologies for the classifications being age and not height based!

It may be you'd need two pairs.

Thanks! There’s no rush they are just looking battered lol I think it’s time to admit they’re neck straps now 😜😂 I do bounce between riding like a jockey or like I’m trying to look like I fit my horse, but I have a hole punch so I can always pop a few extra in!

I had mine made at 50".

I can just flat and jump on 48s, I'm mid to upper for jumping (short) and about 3 for flat (long) I'm 5'2 but with relatively long legs. I can flat on 54s - mid to top but can't get short enough to jump as I like them.
So maybe get 54s for showing

Perfect thanks guys I think I’ll look for 52-54! I always think knowing my luck I’ll get a great tall bloke and he’ll be stuck up like he’s going up the gallops! (It’s Heavy classes so not unreasonable for judge to be tall either!!)
