Showing the Riding Horse

Hi,
I have recently started to loan a show horse and the owners are keen for me to do veteran riding horse classes in the summer (he will be 15 in may)
however, i have never done big showing classes, just pony club and local showing classes and have no idea if i have to register the horse and myself or just the horse. Plus where do i register us? If anyone knows how i can start please let me know.

Hi Pablo try the VHS Veteran Horse Society, you can register with them, they have classes all over the place for ridden and inhand, my boy is joining this year as he will also be 15 and as I'm just up the road from you I'll probably see you in the ring :-) Good luck x
 
Thank you both very much. Show girl - i don't suppose you know of any livery yards around us do you? i wont to move as y/o is rather intrusive and have recently heard tht he can become quite horrible. plus i don't access to an arena so i need to find a new place!
