Hi all

I'm going to a show on July 10th to do some inhand and hopefully some ridden showing classes, but I'm unsure what to wear - I know trousers are correct for inhand classes. However, in the 3 inhand classes I've done before (with a bay roan and a leopard spot appy) I've worn jods (beige), tweed jacket (brown), tie (brown), hat (brown), gloves (brown), boots (brown). I was hoping to wear black trousers and a navy waistcoat with navy tie and hat (although I know I don't need to wear a hat as am over 16), then for the ridden classes - brown tweed jacket, brown tie, brown or blue velvet hat and black long boots.

Do you have any suggestions? I didn't want to go in mainly one colour but I'm not sure what else to wear!!

Both horses are unregistered welshies - 1st a Section D and 1st a Section C x

I also need suggestions for classes - with Lucky I was hoping to do: Inhand coloured and spotted or ridden coloured and spotted, totally terrified ridden class, inhand m&m type, inhand or ridden cob. With the new boy (if he will load ok) I was hoping to do inhand any breed and possibly inhand riding pony/hunter pony

Here are a couple of pics:

I would suggest that you wear the tweed jacket, shirt, tie and trousers to do in hand classes. you should also wear a hat, doesn't matter what age you are!

All of those classes should be the tweed outfits you have described. Indeed your brown outfit sounds rather similar to what my sister shows our unregistered fell in!

Personally I'd match a brown riding hat with a brown tweed if you have one, though the navy will be fine.

As you are over 16 you may wear a riding hat or some other form of hat (flat cap/stetson/trilby) if you wish for the inhand. You should definatly put something on your head though; it's considered respectful to the judge to do so.

You could get a nicely coloured tie to add a bit of colour to your outfit? What you have suggested sounds fine though. I sometimes show in hand in jods ifI'm ebing lazy or, more often than not, if the classes are close together and I haven;t time to change!
