Planning to do some show with little coloured I have, so need some tips on getting her tail white and also she's not a fan of having her whiskers trimmed under her chin, so any tips on how to do this the easiest and quickest way. Also I have black tack for her, will this pass for CHAPS Classes or have I got to go out and purchase new tack......... Also would see look out of place in a WH Class......

All comments welcome......good or bad....

Roll on summer and lovely short shiny coats!!!!!!

I spend hours stroking the Donkey with Bic razors to trim her down!!!!!!!!!!!!! White tail, blue rinse?????

She is lovely, will do workers well I think!!

Razor works well on whiskers....

Brown is correct, but black will be ok to start with, and I Think showing is less rigid now, certainly for WH. She is stunning...

She was clipped out so short coat not a problem, legs are coming out already, just need to trim feathers, tried the Bic and she had a fit, but might have to try the stroke with hand a few time then once with razor..........

Prob get shot for this but you could use a humane twitch to do her whiskers-I used to have to for my show hunter. He would kne cap me other wise!

Think I'm just going to have to take my time and just do as much as she will let me each night, bless her don't want to upset her.... But yes twitches do have there place.....

wow how absolutely gorgeous! Should do well in WH I think. I have the same problem with keeping white bits white. luckily don't have a white tail but legs are always poo coloured! My horse is a disgusting pig!

tails washing up liquid then a blue rinse then a bit of chalk whilst still damp then brush out

whiskers no tips for that im afraid its too much effort for my donk to argue about the little things. although i sympathise as i have a nightmare doing her ears i have to twitch her for about 5mins when i fully clip her otherwise she'd look ridiculous with bald head and bod then big fluffy ears!

For her tail wash it sabout 4 times then put split it in three and put each section down a leg of a pair of tights (need 3 legs so more than one pair) then plait the three together and bandage over the top on the day. Then rub some chalk powder in on the day, and the day before.

For her whiskers buy one of the purple horse shaves.. that way you know you can't cut her and its generally easier and quicker for you and her.

good luck!
