I ride a 14.2h cross breed pony and we do working riding and working hunter classes and would like to know what color tweed jacket would look best with him,but i wear a purple shirt and tie.Would a grey tweed look good?Thanks!

Green or brown is the norm, i was told blue is a bit of a no no...

You could get a very dark green one, with some blue running through it, that would look nice with purple...

(am assuming you mean a lilac shade for the shirt?)
