Child handler - should our section A be plaited? What will my sister be required to do? (She is 6) And are cream jodhpurs, black jodhpur boots and a tweed jacket okay? Thanks :)

No plaits if you're turning out as a native- you could plait and pull as a hunter pony depending on type though :) Clothes sound good! Enjoy

Sounds a lovely cute turnout for a 6yold. Sec A won't need to be plaited assuming it's registered :)

Practice horsemanship - she will be expected to do the same as any other inhand class - walk around as a group, stopping in turn to do the first trot round - attention to detail is paramount. Make sure she at least tries to keep good room between her & the pony in front, and that the pony trots on her signal and stops on her signal.
On her individual, make sure she is taught to try and stand the pony up nicely and not let it eat grass. Then the normal walk away from judge, turn pony away from her and trot straight back towards the judge and round to the right - making sure when she stops she acknowledges the judge with a head nod or similar.

You can do a mock up show at home to make it more fun to practice :) As long as she is seen to try and do it all correctly it will be favourable for her :D I used to love doing them!!
