You have to join in pretty much the same way as eventing - go to www.bsja.co.uk, have a look around the website it's quite useful imo

you could either become a member, and you can look up prices on the bsja website, www.bsja.co.uk and it is approx. £80 for you to join, and then another £65 for a grade C horse registration.
If you don't fancy paying that much up front before you have tried it, you can always just turn up on the day (as lojg as its not a pre entry class or a qualified event) and just pay the entry fee, £13-£15 usually, and then a ''ticket'' which are usually around £6 per class. This allows you to enter a class and get a feel for affiliated courses first without having to join straight away
