Hiya,

Ive helped organise a low key show at our yard this weekend for a bit of fun.
Were doing some dressage which im judging!!!

Tonight ive got to do 3 course designs for the showjumping, all very low 1'6, 1'9, 2'0. But my mind has gone totally blank, so i though id google it. Can i find any course designs anywhere?? NO!!LOL

If anybody knows of any websites with some basic courses they could point me in that would be great.

Thankyou.:)

Don't do 3 course designs. Most places just have one and raise the height.

Start off down the long side, half way with a x pole, turn the corner to a little upright, across the middle with a related distance, change the rein to some planks etc etc...finish on a double..

Thankyou:D, yer i have some rough ideas, ive jumped 1000's of courses but the minute i tried to put it down my mind went blank.
The onky reason i though of 3 is its on grass and its getting a bit wet so though wed be better moving them around a bit?

Lots of figure of eights ;) Typical course.

I once commented at a BS show that the course was the same as the last class but backward to a friend and the coursebuilder overheard me. She laughed and told me that was coursebuilding, except they normally hope nobody notices :D

If you design it properly you could get them to jump one way round then backwards for the second and then back the other way with maybe a couple of changes to jumps for the third.

Don't get too complicated and move too many jumps for your own benefit - you will want to just get on with it on the day.

If the ground is really bad you can move the jumps say a foot one way or the other just to move the take-off and landing position a bit.

Best of luck - and have fun - oh and thanks for organising an event for everyone else - I know how much effort you have to put in....
