I am looking for a showjumping trainer. I have done a few BSJA rounds but I am struggling when I want to go quicker against the clock.

Any ideas?

John Adams is very good, he does clinics all over the place, groups of 4 or sometimes 1/2 hour or 45 mins private, depending on the venue. If you are S of Cambs I can recommend Kate Tropp, she isn't a pro trainer has such, just has a few clients, she is lovely and quiet and has competed herself at a reasonable level, she no longer has her own yard but will travel to you.

John does clinics through Cambs RC at Ely once a month or so

Nick turner does lessons at Waresley which is near sandy so not a million miles away. Bugger to get in tho as spaces fill as soon as they go online. Google him and his web will come up, it's something along the lines of Nt eventing.

Matt Lanni's very good. They used to do a training day once a week - turn up, pay for a couple of rounds with instruction - not sure if they do anymore. Would recommend for private lessons though - although he's quite expensive.

Have a look on
bsja website for accredited trainers, or look up Rachel Stevenson on facebook if you have it. She organises bs events iin that region and can point you towards bs training clinics - i'd advise going to a few and seeing
Who you like.
I like Matt Lanni and Alan Fazakerley.
