I need some help on understanding showing. I'm just about to advertise my pony that I brought a year ago. I think looking from pics on the internet that she looks like she could do well in showing, but I have no knowledge of showing what so ever so could be way out. So I want to know does my pony look like she could make a good showpony? and what is she show pony or show hunter pony?
Thank you p.s not sure if photo will come out so may need to try again

Here we go did it this time!

How old is it? What height?
Reason I ask is if it is only 3yo then there can be some potential as its backside needs a lot more muscle as looks very weak at the moment. it also needs some top line.

For me the photo makes it look over at the knee. I would also pull its tail. The tail needs about 4 inches off.

I am not convinced its quality enough for county though. It has not got a pretty enough head for show pony or good enough conformation nor has it that lovely square little tank look that SHP have. I would want to see it move as that could change everything.
Its only my opinion so could be completely off the mark.

She's 7 and a 143cm, i've been using her as an allrounder rather then a show pony, so she won't be as big as they seem to like. weak behind deff poss as only broken last year so only just started to get stronger, but I don't think it's helped by the way she standing as she has her head up, and back leg stuck out, making her look worse. She was bred in a showing yard so I think there must be potential there, they also bred a couple of foals off of her as they thought she was quality.
But i'm not sure. (maybe better pic below)

I really like her & would say she's definitely a SHP - especially as she is bang on the height for the 143cm class.
