Hi,
I might be moving to the Lincolnshire/Suffolk/Norfolk area, and a friend of mine said there are hardly any shows there.

I was jsut wondering if anyone in the area could tell me if there are quite a lot of different centres running both aff and unaff dressage, sj, XC, hunter trials, eventing, showing, everything really.

I have a coiuple of horses and like to be out almost every weekend but wouldn't like to go to the same place each time. Also are there any qualifiers for things like trailblazers or anyhthing else in that area?

thanks

i'm in South Lincs, near Norfolk and Cambs borders. i've only just started competing from here, but there seem to be plenty of places which are pretty local, and good places like Keysoe haren't too far at all.
this is the list of places i've compiled so far... for schooling and competing.
Gosberton, Spalding (u.k. chasers course)
Newton, Notts (XC clinics and schooling)
Danethorpe XC, Newark, Notts.
Arena UK
Hill House, Carlton, Beds
Sissons Farm
Laughton Manor
ILPH Snetterton, Thetford (shows)
Manor Farm, Huntingdon
Fenning Farm CB79UL
Vale View, Melton Mowbray
Keysoe
Sheepgate
Brooksby College
Ely Eventing Centre
Burnham Market (BE)
Little Downham
Gt Witchingham (BE)
The Poplars, Wrenningham, Norwich
Rushton XC near Kettering
White Rails Livery, Wymondham
Forest Edge
Foxhill Farm, Eydon
White House Farm
Four Winds Eq Centre
Knights End
Elms Farm, Cathorpe.
that's not a bad list to start with... no idea about most of the venues though.

Loads of local level in S Lincs, North Norfolk, N Cambs - above what Kerilli has mentioned - I've always been based in S Lins and doubt there's a weekend without something - travelling no more than 1.5hrs

Edit to say - don't think Knights End are doing much now it's a Western place but may be wrong

There's also Blackborough End nr Kings Lynn, Windmill Farm between K Lynn and Little Downham

In summer there's loads of local riding club shows:

Spalding and District Riding Club (have website) - monthly
Tilney St Lawrence
Wisbech Riding Club
March Show
Parsons Drove show
Guyhirn show
Baston Riding Club
Milton Park Show
Heckington Show (only BSJA)
Leics County
Notts County
Alot of BSPS stuff at Newark showground
Golden Horseshoe (I think it's called) out Newark way.
College Farm Newark
Arena UK grantham

Worth buying the local freeads and most stuff listed in there

There's also a new Lincs website but can't find link at moment

Oh thanks ever so much! It sounds like there's plenty of things -laughs- not to mention there will be open summer shows ect.

I'm not sure exactly what area we're moving to, I just know my parents are looking in that sort of area.

Thanks

Outdoor one was pants, wet and on a slope but horse seemed to go ok on it. If you can wiggle into the indoor one thoughi s MUCH nicer

Test arenas are beautiful, but it is very "open" so not ideal on a wet/windy day....

Volatis - when I remember the webby that has services I'll let you know.

4Dobbin used to have a notice board thing on their website - Chandlers FE

EquiAds seems to have a lot this way.

EA Yellow Ads have this kind of thing
