HI
Does anyone know if the company shredding for bedding is still in business as the website comes up as unpublished?
I have a very dirty horse and have been told that shredded cotton paper could be worth a try but not sure where to get it from.
Thanks

I have wondered about using shredded paper from what but what about the ink - does this ever transfer itself to horse ?

Thanks for your reply weeble will give it a try

Sodapop I have also tried to to search for shredding for bedding have found a link but website won't open - have found a couple of companies that do shredded paper but it's collect only or buy a pallet full

I use shredded paper on my mare, I save it up all year in work and store them in dust extractor bags. I've worked out I have enough paper to last me through most of winter (end of Feb) :-)

The lady who is at my yard uses shredded paper. We all save it for her and she uses anything that will be shredded, cardboard, newspaper, magazines, letters, envelopes etc. it saves her a small fortune as she has three GGs

My jumping pony lived on shredded newspaper until she had colic surgery ( paper stuck to her incision ) she was on small shreds made for horses by a company in east Yorkshire, as it was made from shredded newspapers the print did come off on your hands when i shook a fresh bale up but it never did her any harm and never noticed ink on her or her rugs etc. It made a lovely thick fluffy deep bed, easy to muck out and dust free which was a necessity as she also had gutteral pouch problems. Before that when we lived on a raf base all the horses lived on shredded paper that lived on the base on the forces livery yard, this was collected from all the offices on the base free of charge.
