Shropshire County Show - whose going?

As title! Itching to go now it's this Saturday and I'll be showing my pony in a couple of classes. It's the new show that replaced the old West Mid Show and has been going a couple of years now. Had a fab time there last year so hoping to do equally well this year!
Can you tell I'm excited? Anyone else either entered or going to watch?

Oh fab entered in CHAPS native 4 years plus, PUK m&m small breeds and broken coloured Shetland really hoping the rain holds off!

I've just realised it isn't a CHAPS class at all! It's PUK comanchee. Two days left!

Am I the only one who think it really isn't what it used to be? I went last year or the year before and there was hardly anybody there in comparison from when I used to years ago. I do really enjoy watching the mounted games, I would love to be a part of that.

I heard that they were separating the horses from it this year in some way? Is that true or is it the same as normal? Is the jumping on this year too?

I might go up if I've got a car by the weekend, I crashed mine in to a tree last Friday

Yep totally separate, horses this Saturday and rest of show next Saturday. As I work saturdays not much chance of me getting to either. When it was held over 2 days at least you saw a bit of everything whichever day you went.

I will be going i would imagine,...all jobs done on the farm that is,...but not to the horse show, i'll be going to the Agricultural Show on the 25th May,.. It's a pity the two aren't together as one.

Also will be having a trip out to Stafford County Show on 29th or 30th May, all being well!

Agreed, I much preferred going up on a Sunday afternoon.

It definitely didn't have the sparkle last year like previous years but hopefully that may improve. I agree it's a huge shame the showing has been separated. Last year it was held on two separate weekends but on the Agricultural day there was bsja but this year there isn't even that!

We'll be there on the 25th as my speshul dog is due to defend his title in the companion dog show. I agree it's a huge shame it's been split, we've another commitment on the 18th so will miss all the horse bits if there's not even SJ the following week.
