Shropshire Peeps - Equine Clinic Open Day

For anyone in Shropshire who can get to Aston Munslow, the Old Pound Equine vet centre is holding an open day tomorrow from 9-1pm. As part of the course of events they will be having a gastoscopy session with explanation and demonstration, tendon scanning and dental treatment and control. Light refreshments will also be provided.

Its really good how a lot of practices are holding these talks. Myvets have had quite a few, they are really interesting. Is the Old Pound equine unit new, our pony was treated by Old Pound a few years ago whilst on loan and they didn't seem to be particularly geared towards horses.

I can't remember when they set up the equine unit but it must have been in the past six years, as I remember having a couple of clueless small animal vets come out when we first had our horse but we've since had some very good ones from the clinic (one of whom is highly attractive in the manner of all male equine vets ).

Sadly I'm working tomorrow but it would have been interesting to see, particularly the dental treatment as they just tend to come out and rasp without telling you what's going on in there.
