I'm really amazed at how well his new regime has worked. The vet saw him about eight weeks ago, and told me he had to lose weight as he was bordering on obese
.....so off we went onto Plan B. Fatty paddock, lots of soaked hay twice a day, and a token supper with vits and mins. Plus a dengie lite lick, and regular snacks on hooves. No work as he's turned away.
He gone from 450 to 405 kilos, and looks brilliant (14.2 hh). I'm now turning him out during the day in the main paddock with a muzzle on, to see how he gets on.Now I've got a handle on things, I'll let his weight creep up ready for winter - maybe to 420 ?
Just wanted to say it can be done, but it is bloody hard work
