Finally my man seems to have turned a corner. He has his energy back and is no longer cold. His coat is nice and shiny and he is interested in life again. His belly is still a bit bloated but I feel that I can now worm him so I will do that this week. His neck is still flopped over but it seems much firmer than before. Today I made a very difficult decision and shaved off all his mane, I nearly cried but I think it will make it easier for me to see if his neck is improving. He looks bloody awful but that is the least of his problems right now. Tomorrow I will take some pics for you all to see.
I will continue with his vitamins and muscle stimulating injections and see if he continues to improve. We still have no idea what is/was wrong with him but maybe we never will.
Thanks for hearing me out but I wanted to share my hope with you as you were all so helpful when I was in need.

I feel awful, I didnt know he was ill!!!! Glad he's on the mend now. Did Marco visit him or was it his partner? I don't deserve a biscuit...sorry.

Hi, He has been off colour since spring but then went down hill really fast due to some bad advice from here. (my fault for listening) He has been seen by bother Marco and Fabrizio. They think it is Cushings but I don't agree. (typical of us know all grooms) heheeee
How are you and your guys?
 
Hi, my little man is doing just fine. He has plenty of energy and seems to be much more interested in life including his dinner. He gets so excited that I have a job putting his head collar on as he can't keep still and then he charges from the field towards the stables with me on toe.
Look out everyone, we are coming through.....

As you can see he looks bloody awful with his mane shaved off but it makes it easier for me to monitor his neck. Hey it will grow soon
