Sickened by people in this country!

I'm not clicking onto the link (just eating my lunch) but it sounds horrific, yes there's some sick people in this country. :(

Poor foalie. Evil people. I hope one of them ends up burnt on a train track somewhere.

 There's a link on the page about a woman getting 16 months in jail for having sex with children and a dog too.

What is the world coming to?

They can't confirm the foal was dropped on to the lines, as the lines were left on the ground live the foal could have wandered on to them.. So yes still baskets but not necessarily foal torturers

To be fair (and I apppreciate that is a big ask given the consequences!) it does sound as though the objective was probably copper theft with the death of the foal somewhat incidental, possibly even after the theives had left. Obviously if you cut power cables down into a field with a foal that is a huge risk (as well as illegal etc, etc) but there doesn't seem to be any direct evidence that the foal was deliberately put in contact with the cables, that is just speculation :-S

<Looking for a very small bright side here. Poor, poor owners, mare and foal.>

what b4rstards i would like to put them on the wire instead of this folie

its ok u cant see anything just a copper and burn on the ground

But it does say that the horses were in another field and the gate was still locked so either the foal found a gap to squeeze through or he was picked up, but he'd have to be a very trusting foal to allow himself to be picked up.

...Maybe there is more to this story...

I might be reading it differently to you but I cant see where it says the horses were in a different field. I read it as the thieves jumped into the horses field which was locked and cut down the power cables for the copper.

Yep. You're right. My bad. Didn't read it properly.

Everyone, ignore my previous post please

This is really horrible ..... but I am sickened of people who whinge on here, but don't actually take any little tiny steps to publically show the government that some people take cruelty seriously.

I posted this thread earlier today

http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=488403

and no-one has signed .... no animal deserves this and if you don't tell the government that animal cruelty is a public issue then don't blame them if they don't uphold legislation.

Please, if you have time to moan on here you really do have time to sign this petition? (Or maybe for some reason you think the pigs deserved it?)

I signed earlier, is there two posts about it!

There is a new facebook page that illustrates the extent of animal cruelty that persists in this country.
Its called "british animal abusers named and shamed" and publically does name and shame such sadists - i think its brilliant - so many sadists do such unimaginable despicable things and get away with a slap on the wrists - it has to stop
So sorry for this foal and his owner -terrible
