Vet has always commented on Murphy having side-bone and is suprised that he stays sound.
Murphy is now lame
and has been on and off for a couple of weeks. Initially he would come sound after a good walk out so we kept him turned out and continued going on hacks and he was always sound when we got back and stayed sound when turned out.
Initally we put it down to the fact he is getting older and doesn't have the best conformation.
I hacked him out on tuesday and on wednesday morning he was ok, turned him out and trotted him up wednesday evening and he was quite lame again.
There is no heat anywhere and it does not seem any better from him being stabled. The only thing I can think is that it may be the side-bone.
I know nothing about it and just wondered if any body had any experience of it and could give me any info.
Thanks
