Side effects of Omeprasole Injections for gastric ulcers.

Our horse is on week 2 of Injections for gastric ulcers. He is now very lethargic and I wondered if anyone else has had a problem. He was scoped and his ulcers are not volcanic the vets words not mine. His bloods are ok slightly on the lower side of normal. His coat is gleaming and appetite good. At present he is not being ridden and spends a minimum of 12 hours at grass. His diet has been changed to ulcer friendly food. He is also on oral medication for 4 weeks. twice a day. Called Sucrefett from Norway

I’ve not seen lethargy in line, but he did have a huge bump form at the injection site, although for only one of the shots. That’s quite common according to the vet who administered it.
