Side Saddle

Hi, does any one know of anyone who teaches side saddle (for beginners) in Central Lancashire (Preston) area?
I very sadly lost my horse after only having him for 11 months to Laminitis, side saddle along with driving is one of the things I would love to learn. I can ride "normaly" but would love to take this up. If necessary I can do the grooms jobs in return for lessons? If anyone does know of anyone in this area please could you let me know.

It's not totally in the area you are looking for but Reaseheath have started running some sessions where you can hire one of the college horses. I got the details from the ride2theside group after I had a go at sidesaddle on the mechanical horse at New Barn Livery.

Hope they can help your fella, if they suggest points (plastic shoes) dont bother waste of money and time - ok my lad was 17hd but they were neither use nor ornament!! Bloomin expensive too! xx

not exactly preston more grange over sands but Witherslack Hall do sidesaddle lessons and have done for a while i think won't be to far up the m6 don't think

I have tried Wrea Green for side saddle as well but it was too far away for me to do on a more regular basis - they have the saddles and horses to provide lessoms.

If you go on the side saddle association wbesite they can advise of places that teach side saddle - as I am not sure if I can put it on here i will PM you the details they gave me a few years back.

You shoudl contact teh Side Saddle Association, they will have a list of instructors in your area
