Following my posts earlier this week we've had the farrier out to look at sidney, praying he'd find a nail bind or something similar. Unfortunately he couldn't find a thing.
So sidney is being boxed up to york on wedsnesday for a full lameness work up, xrays etc at the hospital.
Our vet is convinced its ringbone or arthritis and that certainly he'll never jump again and probably will never be sound again.
We're obviously praying he's wrong.
Can i ask for the massive power of HHO healing vibes - he's had such a pants life and has only now been loved, he looks great and he was jumping like a little dream. This can't be it, it just wouldn't be fair. He's 17.2HH of quirky bad temperedness but we love him so so much. We really really need some positive thought power.

Sending you all the good vibes I can muster

Is this the same leg that the fracture was or the other leg? Horses ca be pains with mysterious lamenesses - mine did go on for weeks lame on his foreleg, farrier couldn't find anthing, vet couldn't we even had physio in case it was related to his shoulder or something - nope, nothing! I thought it must be something really serious but we had the farrier out again - think was just normal shoeing appointment (and this was after several weeks of this lameness) and he only went and found an abscess even though couldn't find it before! It'd worked it's way all round the side of the hoof. Farrier 'released' it and horse sound!

So sometimes it isn't always the worse case scenario at all.

Fingers crossed for you!

Sending Sidney loads of healing vibes. At least if you have the lameness work up you know what you're dealing with and hopefully it turns out to be nothing much. Keep us updated. *fingers crossed*
