I REALLY want a nice show saddle for G, but with him being off the chart wide, I simply can't afford another M2M saddle

Has anyone else ever found a nice second hand show saddle for their extra extra wide horse, that DID fit?

I got a v. nice second hand Fylde W.H. for my wide mare from a local sddle fitter. Saddle is actually medium while mare is v. wide so they seem to be big fitting - worth a try anyway.

I have a similar prob-my mare doesnt look that wide but she is an extra extra wide - saddler thinks she will go down to an extra wide ( she is only 4) but I have seen a very select few times a couple of beatiful 2nd hand show saddles on Tack quest. you have to be a demon for it- searching all the time, regulary but I have seen them!! good luck- you will get something but I do sympathise!

We have a Fylde Hayden for a very, very wide Dartmoor. It was second hand from Fylde saddlery. If you send them a wither template they make one of their second hand saddle fit to the wither template. Saddle was £400.
