I'm advertising for à DP (half share) for Tartine as she must get more exercise, so far I've had two responses and both have asked if she can move yard.

If I had said full loan, then maybe, but a share, really?

I’m currebtky looking for a sharer/ loaner for my boy and have specifically put in the ad that he cannot move so don’t ask.... and people still message me and ask

Likewise, I can't see the post, and the first response is garbled into rubbish - although the same thing has happened to me in another area of the forum - the OP is blank. Can you re-post maybe?

I think Casey is saying that she has advertised a horse for laon or share but it has to stay at it's current yard and people keep contacting her and asking if it can be moved somewhere else. Generally a moan about people who don't bother to read an ad properly. Casey, you have my sympathy, some people are idiots!

I can't see the original post either, but if it is as naza has said then I think the confusion my be because you have advertised for a sharer / loaner. To me that means a sharer OR loaner. The sharer I would expect to stay on the same yard, but a loan horse can often move yards.

Having said that if the advert also said he cannot move yards so don't ask then I would not have asked!

I have the same whenever I advertise my horse for share, usually 2 days a week 🤐.

I'm sure it's the same people who post on horses for sale which are obviously a dealer advert, asking if they would consider loaning.

I think it’s a new forum glitch...

Basically I’ve advertised for a share for Tartine, and so far I’ve had two responses, both asking if she can be moved - one of which was to a yard more than 100km away!

That is not how shares work, people!

If I was advertising for a full loan, then I may consider her moving yards, but, not for a 2/3 day per week share lol.

I had a great reply to a similar ad. I advertised daughters horse for a share, few days a week due to her loosing interest and not having time myself to ride him daily alongside my horse. One reply asked if I'd drive him to her friends yard 3 times a week after school so she could go xc schooling with her friend, It would only cost me £20 a time and was only in Gloucester (about 45 minutes at least each way) ummmm, no!
