Seriously how difficult is it to construct one that does not flout the guidelines????

They are to be NO higher than 100 Pixels - THATS IT, and if you have a siggy picture (as I do for instance) then you really should NOT have text too, unless you shrink the depth of your sig to incorporate it

I am seeing more and more people who think it is acceptable to have TWO lines of pics - IT ISN'T!!!! And if you have a ticker and a strip of photos then you are deffo overdoing it. Admin will just disallow the siggies altogether if people do NOT adhere to these rules.

So come on people, you are all intelligent enough, sort them out please

Thank you Weezy! Having posted on this numerous times I couldn't agree more. I actually think it is quite rude - the rules are not difficult to understand and if anyone is having difficulties re-sizing their signatures there are lots of people on her who would be more then happy to help.

(oh, and if anyone is unsure if theirs is too big, right-click on the image, choose 'properties' and it should give you the image size in pixels)

yup, totally agree, there was one the other day which the page was 3 times the size it was supposed to be, took ages for it to load and had to scroll across to read things
i have no sig as the less, the faster with my comp

As for sigs, I agree they are really nice and it would be a shame for the few to penalise the masses. * whispers:I will need help to do one if I ever get my horse home!*
 
Sorry I am confused the last time one of these posts was made someone said max height was 120 pixels not 100 which is the size of many of the signictures on here. I do agree to a degree though people forget to include writing as part of there siggy size. Also it doesnt help that no where is there actually something set out in stone like a post by admin specifiying sizes etc

A big problem is not just the size of the originators picture but what settings you have your computer set on. Some pictures that look fine on one persons could be HUGE on another.

I have it as high as possible to all the pics look small to me.
 
Rema- yours is fine, its 606 x 91 pixels

madhectors- yours is fine too, its 594 x 95 pixels.

somebody put int he cr a quote form the code of conduct thingy. the max height is 125 pixels.

Also please not that the rules about posting professional pictures apply to signatures as well. There are a few with professional images in with the digital watermark clearly visible - this is not allowed.

Also, there are a number of people who have a row of pictures which are perfectly sized but then have a ticker and /or several lines of text

2 of my pictures are fine but the other 2..... one is 8 pixels too big and the other is 10 pixels too big, don't know how to make them smaller though. Photobucket will only reduce them by 50%, 25% etc

[/ QUOTE ] It looks like Admin may have made a boo boo there - the faq keeps referring to ybw.com which is a boating mag owned by IPC. I think they may have copied the faq format over and forgotten to change the relevant details!

Personally it doesn't bother me too much if sigs are a little too high, but I hate ones that are too wide and make me keep scrolling to read the posts. However, I always make mine 600 x 100 pixels or less because I don't want to upset anyone!

If anyone is having trouble resizing, I am happy to do it for them if they want to PM me. (Although prob won't have time til tomorrow am).

Thanks everyone - whilst most are fine some were just getting WAY out of hand. Also, everyone moans about the poxy proxy, big sigs do NOT help apparently!
