The odd morning I find one of my horses stables a mess and he has poo on his face, he is up fine and wanting his brekkie. But as a precaution I was thinking of putting anti cast strips up. Has anyone use these before?
They normally will try to knock their banks down to try to kick the walls to get up, beds normally a mess too. Try huge banks and if all else fails try some anti cast strips too.
You can get strips of Plywood in a pack from Focus homestore or wherever for about £7.99 a pack (sorry I don't know the exact size of the wood)- you can fit them at 2 levels around the edges of their box and then put the banks up over them as normal, so they can get some purchase to grip on if they should get stuck- these have certainly worked with one of my horses!
