Dear knowledgable people in my computer.. please help me before I loose the will to live!
We are in the process of putting in a school at home.

I am going back and forth on the silica sand. I have had price ranges from £42 per tonne, down to £21 per tonne. All claiming to be equestrian grade silica sand.

One of the better value sands is from a quarry down south in Dorchester. Some people are telling me that this is not a good enough grade.
I am having a sand and a fibre surface so I understand that the sand has to be right as it is a fundamental element.

Can people please advise me on the quarries that do the proper stuff or guide me in the direction of where I can get the correct stuff at the correct price, rather than over inflated. Help gratefully received!!!!

I know Garside sands supply equestrian grade. I thought Warmwell (which might be your quarry near Dorchester) also did Equestrian grade but I’m not certain.

Bit of a faff, but why not ask them all for samples and then send off to a building aggregates consultancy for analysis?

Obv then make sure contract specifies grade supplied in sample....
