Silly but, am I in the wrong?

I would feel sorry for her as anyone who can be that waspish is either ill bred or very unhappy. Cherish your little star and remember as others have said that some of the best competition horses in the world were far from perfectly set up.

Myself ... well I have a stunning ISH who is a promising eventer , sadly too much horse for me so I ride my Haffie;):D Sod the haters and do your own thing.

Do you love your horse? Do you have fun? Is your horse healthy? lol hun as amymay said we all buy horses for different reasons so get out there enjoy your horse and smile :) people can be mean sometimes but let it go over your head :) x

Yes, of course you are in the wrong, durrrr............

The fact that her "perfect" horses have to share the same air is an affront that should be rectified straight away.

On the other hand, you could just feel sorry that such "perfect" horses have to put up with such an imperfect owner.:D

I know a horse who looks very pretty and has all the showing wins to prove it and his owner is very proud, even though this all happened before she owned him.

His life now consists of stable to field, field to stable because she's to damm scared to ride him!!?

My first pony is just a typical scabby pony, nothing special to look at, but looked after me when I was far too small for him, and was my best friend growing up. He won every single sjing competition we ever entered, he crib bites, only insured on 3 legs, but he was perfect for me! He's not ugly, but no oil painting, but the way he is is the reason we have never sold him.

One of my other horses, Owen, dished when he walked. Lovely friendly horse and did quite high showing and eventing, so it never stopped us doing what we wanted!

Smoke, my last horse, I got told on here by everyone that he would be useless because of his ewe neck and his over flexing fetlocks (whatever the official term is) but he has such a fantastic attitude, and is such a stunning boy it didnt bother me. Hes never going to make it in the world of showing, but no matter what everyone said, would make it in the SJing world if thats what his new owner wanted to do with him, and will make a fairly decent eventer as well! So, no, I would never ever go for a horse with perfect confirmation over a horse with a nice attitude.

I'd have to be physically restrained from slapping the little madam! Is her horse a bit of a handful? If so, it'll jealousy, pound to a penny.

My mare is very pretty (WelshxTB) but nearly always walks on the side of her near hind, and her hoof is slightly deformed. I don't know if the hoof is deformed (by this I mean looking face on, it's straighter than it should be on the outside instead of flaring out IYSWIM) because of poor conformation, or the poor conformation is a result of her gammy hoof.

However, it makes no difference to her way of going, my farrier is happy not to use a remedial shoe to fix her, and the back person hasn't found a problem stemming from it, but I've had one or two negative comments about it (one person can get away with it as his horse has a funny eye socket :D).

I don't let it get to me because she's got the sweetest nature towards other horses and humans, and she's generally rock-steady, and she's a lovely animal to have around, borne out by the fact that the vet, the farrier, the back person and the dentist have all complimented me on what a beautifully behaved horse she is to work with.

And to me, that takes priority over everything.
