Might only be a small thing, but wanted to share.

Despite the fact that my mare is 7, I have only really been able to back her this year (due to her lack of trust, numerous injuries between the pair of us, my confidence wobble and various other issues).

So this summer I have been sitting on/being led/going off lead rein as much as possible. Then on Thursday, and again today, we trotted :D Ok, so my hubby was on the other end of a lead rope, and it was a bit wobbly, and not for very long, but it was a trot :D I think I am going to need to get a neckstrap of something though as she has a very big trot!

Also we left the comfort of her schooling area in her field (no school at yard), and 'hacked' around the farm (again with hubby on lead for extra confidence) on Thursday and today.

I know that I may sound like I am taking things way too slowly, but she is a very sharp and sensative tb and the last thing I want to happen is for either of us to lose confidence in each other.

So far she has not put a foot wrong, and turns into super plod when I am on her back.

Pointless post really, but I am proud of my ginger girl. I am going to post some pics, even though I am highly embarassed about my position, so gentle cc only please. Also, I am not asking her to bring her head in, she likes to do that herself!
