Silly mare
Planned to do a schooling session this morning but silly girl had other ideas - looking for the other horses in the field next door then spinning and rearing with tail up and snorting
this behaviour is from my 6yr TB who is normally a saint.
Decided to take her out instead - coming round the corner she spots a *bin monster* to you and me thats a plastic tub stuffed with bottles - its recycle day
cue - mare spins and says *no way*!! managed to push the mare past the terrifying monster - snort snorty snort
Next we spot a huge river which is harbour to all sorts of nasties including sharks and nasty fish which apparently eat unsuspecting thoroughbreds
yep thats a little puddle across the track to you and me. Got her through it and went back through it a few times and stood in it - she had a play and a splash and another snort
on we went, trotted back round (its a circular route round some v quiet country lanes) and managed some leg yielding and some nice lengthened strides
All was going well until she saw horse eating sheep
yep snort snort jog jog again!
Managed to get back the yard jig jogging all the way covered in white frothy foam from her mouth which she had tossed everywhere incl my hat and her face, when i turned her out she ran straight over to the mini shetland in the next field, raised her tail and began squealing and squating at him
First season of the year.......who elses mare changes from a complete un-flappable horse to a snorting stroppy spooky mare when they come into season?!
