I did this quiz for my horse Jet - might try it for some of the others.
Anyway what they say about Jet is absolutely spot on!
"Your horse is a...
DLAF - The Accountant
Slow, steady and determined describes this personality. They do not need excitement or fanfare. They like predictability. They want you to have a plan and stick to it. The friendship is important to them, so it is important for them to be honored and appreciated."
I did it again for one of my other horses, Golden - and once again it was absolutely spot on except for the fear bit - Golden is not afraid of anything or anyone!
"Your horse is a...
DEAA - The Boss
This strong authority figure is all business and can be resistant and difficult if not working at a job that they like. They are usually the herd boss and are used to calling the shots and running the show. You will have this to overcome in training, and you will have to be there to help them get their job done as fear can easily overcome them. This horse will call on you to be firm, fair and fearless."
I just did it again for my darling Jezebel and once again it was very close - except for her not being suitable for beginners because she is my best beginner girl, never puts a foot wrong.....of course they could still be right, as she is 12 now.

DEAF - The Wild Card
Strong minded but insecure, this personality needs an equally strong rider to help them feel safe. Be loving and affectionate, but don't give up your leadership. Once you have them on your page, they are very friendly and have a strong desire to please. They can be highly competitive and will give you their all. Not a horse for a junior or amateur until much later in life."
yep thats henry down to the ground...

DECA - The Macho Man
If you have a serious job to do, this is the horse for it. You will have to get out of the way and allow them some freedom in how they do it. Sit down, shut up and hold on! It is initially hard to get them to accept that you do know what you are talking about, so training in the beginning can be challenging. Use psychology and variety and start them into their career at a very early age.
Surprisingly accurate - those who know my horse will appreciate this:
DLCA - The Prize Fighter
This horse has opinions and is ready to defend them. It is in your best interest to listen to him. To get the job done you must work with him. He will have numerous rules and requirements. He will also get you to the winner's circle when you have developed a working relationship. Unlike the Rock Star that is there for the glory and recognition, the Prize Fighter is there because they love the sport and the competition.
Was spot on for Polly as well right down to the fear aspect... especially with jumping, she likes to do it her way and if that doesn't work out for her, she loses confidence very quickly can start stopping.

The Rock Stars are confident and charismatic. They are expressive and strong minded. They love to show you what they know but are hard to get to focus on the small details of the task. They are found in many competitive arenas, usually at the top of their field.
Chess- this is scarily accurate!!
The Reluctant Rock Star
This horse has a big ego, loves attention, loves to be in the limelight, but doesn't really like all the work it takes to be there. That is where you come in. You will need to push, persuade and motivate every inch of the way.
This is funny! Bugs is also the Reluctant Rock Star. And yes, it's very true!

It is all about the job for this horse. Hopefully they find one that they love, as then they can be that steady, consistent campaigner that everyone wants. In the beginning they may have trouble focusing and learning their trade. Once they learn it, they will perform it the same for every subsequent owner. They bore easily and like variety in their work. This is a great working horse, but he will likely have too much energy to be the weekend pleasure mount.
Holly ALWAYS has too much energy, bores very quickly in the school, more than 2 circles without changing anything results in boredom and fun and games!! She doesn't perform the same for everyone though
If you are a novice or amateur, this is the horse for you. They are quiet and predictable, loving and engaging, willing to learn new things, willing to hang out with you and do nothing. This is not your big ego, career-oriented horse. They are happy to just be. Consistent and loyal, all you need to do is enjoy!
The Worker Bee
OMG - did it for Dinger - this is him to a T - particularly about trouble focusing and learning his trade for the first few months then suddenly he got the hang of everything and is a changed horse!

The Goddess is loved by most of the other horses and most people. They are expressive and sensitive and emotional. You will know how they feel. They try very hard to please and will worry and be anxious if you are not happy with them. In the negative they can have scattered energy that is hard to get focused. This personality can be loved on as much as you want.
I cannot believe how acurately that describes her!!!

Mine was absolutely spot on too, this probably applied more when she was younger but Honey may be 32 but she still thinks she's great.

Soft, sensitive, and very sweet describes this horse that will try and try to please you. They like to be told exactly what you want and then have you help them perform it. This is not your go-it-alone type of horse. They need you for support and can get very rattled if expectations are too high. This horse is in your life for the relationship.
Jim is a DEAF - "Strong minded but insecure, this personality needs an equally strong rider to help them feel safe. Be loving and affectionate, but don't give up your leadership.
