Silly rug question but advice appreciated

Hey all

Just wondering what you would recommend in the way of rugs at this time of year. My warmblood is getting really chilly and I need to purchase him a suitable rug for this autumny weather as all I have are more heavy weight stable rugs and obv want to save them for winter proper! I have a fleecey cooler thing but with a shavings bed (that is always minging as he is a dirty beast!) it is just disgusting but not sure if a summer sheet is warm enough. Any suggestions? x

you can get a cheapy lightweight from robinsons. or if you dont want to keep light how about fleece with summer sheet on top?

Have a look on the premier equine website. They do a lightweight rug with fleece lining called Cosy Fleece Multi-Purpose Stable & Travel Rug
I got one for mine, and ended up using it most of the winter as it was so snug, and it was easy to clean as shavings don't stick to it.
