He has 2 horses, a 14 year old mare and a 35 year old gelding.
He can't be bothered to look after them anymore

He's selling the mare for a ridiculous amount of money to be a broodmare. She can't be ridden (lots of reasons why), she hs average paces but has never jumped. I Hope they don't breed from her!
And the gelding, my lovely Dougie Man. Hes 35 and looks it but hes a sweetheart. My old yard owner wants to put him down and sometimes i think"yes, before he suffers through another winter of not being rugged" but with careful managment of his teeth and feet and actually being rugged, i think he could live another few years very happily.
I want to have them both for companions of my boy but its just not feasible.
Not a rant or anything, i just feel desperately sorry for them both. And i feel hopeless but we can't save them all. I shall cry when or if they go though.
