Cortez - would love to buy them. TB size. Have been using human silver socks but they don’t last more than a couple of days. 😬. Let me know if you find them and how much you want for them.

lol! They are socks with silver running through them that clear up mud fever, pastern dermatitis and nasties l8ke that. I have been using human socks with silver that helps but want the Silver Whinny’s as they are specifically designed for horses. Have a friend who used them successfully on a case that the vets couldn’t cure with anything. So want a pair for my old boy that NEEDS them.

Put us all out of our misery you two.

What the hell are silver whinny's?

🤣
Saved the life of my lad, there is a massive business opportunity for a UK stockist.

They are a USA product, elasticated pressure socks that pull on over the hoof and go to hock/knee. The elasticated material has silver thread running throughout them. Absolute life saver for horses with LV.

I might have some horse socks with silver threads, had them for my trotter mare, who I have lost now. I am not sure where they are though, or even if still with me. Not sure they are called Silver Whinnies! Let me know if Cortez cannot find her set. I’ll have a look tomorrow.

I think you can order and they ship directly via DHL

I bought a set when my mum's TB was really ill. The woman's name escapes me (Kim?) but she could not have been more helpful. She sent an extra set after seeing how bad Vinnies leg was and phoned for more details. She then sent the photos and details to specialists in Florida for further input.

I cannot recommend the company highly enough for their customer service.

totally agree.
I did note the difficulty in getting them in the UK. Mine came from Sweden but that seems to have stopped.
Silver whinny's in action, never move regardless of the antics of the horse. I have used them for years with this horse now. For any of you battling LV, they are real game changers. You can prolong the life of them by always using a nylon/satin type small shopping bag to pull them over the hooves. Never wash in biological products, avoid giving the horse access to brambly grazing where they get snagged and never tumble dry them.
