Yes. I got one free from the Beta stand at Blair last year and he loved it.

The grass flavoured ones are about 50p cheaper than the other flavours but Ernie generally ignores the grass ones. You can use a likit string to hang it.

One of mine got it against a wall and devoured it in half an hour... the other one (who is the greedy one) got 2 days/nights while on box rest out of it. If you can hang so it can't be pushed against anything think it would last a good while!

My fell pony loves his, my ISH was terrified of hers but has since come round to give it the odd lick. They smell great but the herby square ones that you put in a tiny net (the name escapes me!) always go down better with my two.

I use them a lot fit young friend works for Silvermoor and we test their products .
They definitely need to be free swinging .
I use them in summer in afternoon and for box resting horses and if ice meant they will be in more than usual .
They like them and they eat them within forty minutes it of course depends on the horse I like that they get a bit of browsing behaviour followed by cleaning up the bits from the floor .

Thanks, yes its a bit of a silly name! just wondered if they would be suitable for a fatty to keep occupied.
Yes defiantly you need to get the height right so it’s hard for them and they have to work at it .
I try to tie them up when the horse is out the stable so I don’t get mugged .

I get massive swedes from the local farm shop ( usually @ 50p , but haggle ! - no one wants the huge tough ones ! ) , OH drills a hole through the middle , threads a string through and hangs it up . We always took a supply with us when we were overnighting at events , to keep the horses occupied .

I buy them sometimes - they last a fair while as long as you hang them somewhere that the horse can't push them against a wall. I do have one horse here who can destroy one in seconds, because she has an enormous gob, and can fit a whole one in her mouth
Ivan loves them
