I have a pair of sprenger bow balance that I absolutely love but I have now transferred these to my dressage saddle and I am using my normal stirrup irons on my GP for hacking/Farm rides etc. My ankles and knees are killing me hacking again with the normal irons so I was considering buying another set of sprengers for the GP saddle but I just wondered if there were any cheaper alternatives that people have found pretty good? I will fork out for more sprengers if need be, but if anyone has had success with anything under £100, that would be better for my bank account!

I found a couple of pairs of Sprenger System 4s, the original style before the bow balance, on ebay for about £50. I've got a pair on every saddle

Acavello Opera stirrups are a good choice for under £90. I have them on my GP saddle. I recently bought a dressage saddle and wanted some 'conventional' stirrups so bought black normal alignment stirrups which I have used for a while. I rode my horse with the Opera stirrups on a hack recently and had forgotten how super comfortable they are. I have added them to my Christmas list for my dressage saddle!

I'm afraid i'm of the opinion if you buy cheap, you buy twice...:p I LOVE mine and can't see myself ever being converted to any other stirrup now!
