Hi

As the owner of a barefoot TB eventer and looking into all the different feeds and their levels of sugar & starch. I was just wondering/curious what Simon Earle feed his barefoot racehorses, does anyone happen to know???

i had a TB from the yard he works at and from what i remember seeing it was just racehorse mix/stud mix/sometimes a bit of hifi. i can ask someone who used to work there if she remembers what they were fed.

hmmmm.... that feed sounds like it would be high in sugar and starch though? how did he manage that?
If your friend does remember that would be fab!

I wonder if they ever got turned out at grass??

Alls i can find on the website is

I like to turn out the horses as much as possible so I’m not just aiming for a healthy body but a healthy mind as well. Ad-lib forage is fed whilst in the stable to maintain a healthy gut function. The stabling is also incredibly airy and well ventilated. We use Baileys horse feed and I speak to the nutritionalists there very often to get the balance right for each horse.
