The sun is shining, the kids have gone back to school and so I decided to take Zak and go exploring a couple of new paths in one of the local-ish lowland Estates (where they have no sheep and no ground nesting birds). We meandered various woodland paths for the best part of three hours and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I sometimes take for granted the fact I am able to take time away from the farm (something my OH definitely cannot do for the next six weeks), that I live in a beautiful place and that I have a well behaved dog who I am able to take anywhere without too much worry/hassle - well today I appreciated all three of those things :) It is the simple things in life that really are the best.

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately I didn't take my camera so the pics were just taken on my phone, but they didn't come out too bad considering.

How lovely just to wander through woods! No bluebells yet? Ours are out now.

Simple pleasure of the day: got home, dogs in the garden, two of them ended up by my side as I sat and took in some sun. Peaceful and warm.

Sounds lovely CT.

No bluebells up here yet ... you have to remember we are about a month or more behind you in terms of the growth of anything! We don't even have any grass yet.

Ha, I know, WGSD, I'm a transplanted northerner. I'd normal you so the parents, but they're abroad for a couple of months, warmer climes.
