Question in the title really. Have bought a bag of simple systems greengold and one of luciebix and am now worried it might be heating - am feeding as appy needs supplements for sarcoids. Any thoughts? Simple Systems assure me it won't be, but remember years ago having a thoroughbred for whom I bought a bag of Alpha A oil. Sent him loopy whereas he was loopy but controlled on Mollichaf.

I have fed this to many of my hairies and no problems, but if you have a horse that is sensitive to alfa then it could heat them up. There is no sugar etc in it. You could try lucie stalks - this is the same product but the stalky end of the plant and less protein in it, better for fatties and though that need little energy.

I also feed Just Grass or Ruff Stuff - good option for those with horses that react to alfa. Again Just Grass has more protein and is more like spring grass and ruff stuff is more hay like and better for fatties.
