Hi,

Sorry, another question for you.

Feel guilty I still ride my horse in a single jointed snaffle; feel I ought to change to a double jointed (french link/lozenge) type snaffle because of recent opinions on the joint hitting the roof of the horses mouth. Am I being really unfair to my horse? Do any of you still ride in a simple snaffle?

Many thanks.

god what happened to the old days

why would u be being unfair? if shes comfortable with it and goes well, why feel the need to fuss around?...u know, keep life simple. x

its only really a problem if your horses pallet is quite low,we do advise that a french link etc is better for the mouth but if your horse is happy with the bit then dont worry to much as there is obviously no problem

My mare prefers a single joint to a french link, lozenge, or any of the so called 'kinder' mouth pieces. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it IMO!
