Hello ,thankyou for reading this post I really appreciate it.
My wonderful cob is twenty years old and had a sinus operation in 2008 to remove
a calcified lump from his sinus ,he had all the typical symptoms -smelly discharge
head shaking.Eventual recovery and then he had Hepatitis again he recovered.
This is his first year of no major problems ,the last xray of his sinus (end of last year)
looked like the linning of the sinus had filled in ,conclusion was to monitor.
Sadly the last two weeks things have started to change ,strange behaviour he will not stay in his normal stable and has to be removed almost as though he is seeing things, discharge now back and very noisy breathing.
He is however eating and normal in every other way ,will be calling my vet first thing,
just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience ,I care for this horse very much but would not do another operation as his age and the recovery is a difficult thing.
