I met him once or twice in my youth - unconnected with horses. A lovely man and a wonderful trainer. R.I.P

Such sad sad news.
But my, what a life he lead, some not so good, but I bet he loved every minute of it.
He was a master trainer and although many will think Frankel his crowning glory, his handling of tricky fillies will always be, to me, his some of his most amazing triumphs.
