Very sad to hear that Sir Patrick Moore has just passed away after a short illness he was 89..always very much admired him - one of the familiar faces both on tv & local, as I grew up.

Another star will be shining brightly up there now xx

Yes he certainly was.I was worried I'd get screamed at for posting, but I felt it wrong not to..just like dear Clive Dunn a little while ago..gone but not forgotten.

If i was ever awake and any of Sir Patrick Moores programs, like the Sky at Night were on, I'd always keep myself awake to watch them right till the end, he was wise & inspiring and thanks to him I've been inspired to stay up & watch the stars..and seen a few very beautiful treats that would otherwise have passed by un noticed. Thoughts with his family
